Breathwork Sessions

I recognized the power of breathwork early on in college when I discovered that I had social anxiety. It was one of the few modalities that helped me connect with the real me at that time. Years later, breathwork made its way into the mainstream and I found new teachers to help me heal. I became hooked by the regular classes and its ability to take me deeper into myself while the debris of my fears fell away around me. It made me feel high on life to be quite honest. I was then introduced to two healing women who inspired me on a practitioner level (Josephine Edmonson and Erin Telford), and my journey of self-growth continued to expand me in ways I hadn’t thought possible when I decided to pursue teaching on my own. I then received my Breathwork Teacher Training by David Elliott and Erin Telford in 2020 so that I could share it with , my fulfillment coaching clients and community.

Breathwork has a unique ability to heal and release when we are suffering. It helps us find our center when the world spins around. There is nothing more nourishing in the world to me personally than this 3-part style (belly-heart-mouth), which I learned from my mentors mentioned above …. especially while being held by beautifully curated playlists. And you should know that too, I love good music.

What is Breathwork?

Breathwork is an active meditation technique that uses the breath to bypass the thinking brain by supporting your nervous system and increasing blood flow, boosting oxygen and dopamine, which allows you to drop into a deeper intelligence of your body.  As a result, this physical effect helps to process and release painful or racing thoughts and suppressed/repressed emotions, connect to intuition, authentic self, and ultimately open the heart.

What happens in a private session?

At the beginning of the session, we will have time to connect on what’s coming up for you and what you want to work on and then I will intuitively guide you through your healing breathwork session (laying down) to a carefully curated playlist just for you.  You will have time to ask questions or share about your experience afterward.

I host in-person sessions on Mondays only at HAVN Collective in Laurel Heights in San Francisco. All other dates and sessions will be held virtually on Zoom. I will share the link in advance where we will meet. You will be surprised by how powerful a virtual session can be.

Gifts cards can now be purchased for private breathwork sessions

What happens in a virtual group session?

Every month, I offer donation-based, group breathwork sessions, that are open to the public. All sessions are 60 minutes. At the beginning of the session, we will have time to connect on what’s coming up the group, reflect on the class theme and discuss what you want to work on. Then I will intuitively guide you through your active healing breathwork session (laying down) to a carefully curated playlist with a chosen theme.  You’re welcome to turn your video on or keep it off. You will have time to ask questions or share about your experience afterward.  All sessions are currently guided virtually on Zoom. I will share the link in advance where we will meet. You will be surprised by how powerful a virtual session can be.

There is a suggested donation of $25 but please pay what you can. If finances are keeping you from participating, send me an email at jenna@jennastarkey.com and I will make sure you are able to join.

Breathwork with Jenna is like reaching into the depths of the heart to create space for what is truly needed in the body. She creates these amazing playlists that help guide the breath, but she speaks through the music into the soul somehow breaking through the noise. Her voice is always clear and kind yet empowering for her clients in the most supportive way. She has always and continues to create space for clients to truly be themselves and to trust their guidance, to be an advocate for whatever it is they need. Her breathwork sessions get deep into the body and heart letting go of the mind and releasing any blockages through the breath, and all without being too serious and with so much love and laughter and sincerity!!
