Join us for a relaxed gathering to share ideas and learn from others around career transitioning and networking.
This idea was hatched at a recent personal development workshop where several women asked about meeting up again to talk about job transitioning in the Bay Area during a pandemic, where things have changed drastically. The lack of in-person gatherings and the boom of isolating remote work is only a fraction of the story, right?
I had a light bulb moment about the power of authentic connection and networking that is F U N as a catalyst for career inspiration and momentum! As most of us know, the power of landing wonderful new opportunities lies in the power of networking.
For so many of us, networking tends to feel like a chore. Something that feels hard, where we feel like we have to perform, or are bothering others or wasting their time.
The intention behind this gathering is to flip the script and turn networking into an enjoyable, relaxed, curious experience where we can "simply ask others for directions" and share our own tips and best practices without all the pressure.
There will be guided questions and some facilitation to help create connections and ideas. There will be giant post-its on the wall to answer questions and of course refreshments (snacks, wine, and sparkly water)!
All are welcome to join, including:
- job seekers
- job transitioners
- folks who recently landed jobs (you are an expander! we'd love to hear what you've learned about job searching in the pandemic)
- friendly faces willing to offer support
Guiding Questions:
- What do you need help with?
- Where are you feeling stuck?
- What's worked well for you?
